• Have you ever read the Halo Effect by Missus T?  In this fic, by my talented WT, Eric is an actor of a widely popular show called Bloodlust and Sookie writes for a food blog called The Queen of All That's Delicious. Well a fanfiction fan, DaisyDrk, who just loves that story created the Lemon Chiffon Halo Effect Cupcakes for her food blog, Bubble and Sweet.  The cupcake is described as "moist lemon chiffon cupcake topped by a fluffy meringue, a sugary halo finished with a rich surprise filling." Yums! Check it out!

Blogger note: This confession is from my wonderful sis, Dazed-Rose. Of course we aren't sisters in real life but she's definitely my fic pimping mirror. If you are ever looking to get the word out about a new fic, chapter or contest; not trying to toot our horn so loudly but you should look up the Rose sisters. Of course, I promote here and on Twitter, but she will also cover you on Twitter and on her wonderful ning community the svm-universe. What was your first fanfiction story?

I can’t for the life of me remember when I started goggling Eric Northman and anything to do with the Sookieverse but I think one of the first links I found was http://www.ericnorthman.net/fanfic/ I clicked on Terri Botta's Let Love In and I was hooked. I didn’t stop reading till I finished, and from then on I read anything I got my hands onto.

I moved from en.net over to ff.net and the TB wiki forums and then onto Twitter. I’ve expanded my addiction to actually helping out one of our beautiful addicts, SmittenKitten in running the awesome svm-universe website. So I’m totally immersed into the svm world, and I couldn’t be happier.

Confessions of a SVM Addict: CarolinaGirl96

Blogger Note: It's been a while but I have more confessions for you.  Now this gal is a sweetie pie.   And part of a group of ladies who make banners for SVM Fics. She's got some pretty cute ones that you can check out on her blog.  Now I'm a Carolina girl by way of my parents being from both North and South Carolina. Hi, my name is CarolinaGirl96 and I’m an SVM addict…

What was your first fanfiction story?

Well, this question could be answered a couple of ways. I’ll answer both.

The first fanfiction story I read was Let Love In by Terri Botta. I completely fell in love with that story and all the side stories that go with it. After a while, I decided to see what else was out there and OMG… There are some truly amazing writers in our little fandom.

Last summer, I was bitten by the writing bug. I was extremely nervous about trying, but I finally gave in. Starting Over is the first fanfiction story I’ve written. It is complete now and I am currently working on a new story, Life Can Go On. Both are all human stories with Sookie and Eric as the central characters.

Memorial Day weekend is shaping up nicely in the DC area despite the rain.  I can't wait to get down to the Mall to visit the memorials and see the Rolling Thunder (vets on Harleys) and all.  On Friday, when I was in my hometown about 40 plus rode by on their way into the city.  (The photo on the right is one I took from my cell of the view standing at the WWII memorial.) I'm going to try and get some photos for my special post. Speaking of which ...

Fic Spoilers!

• So I scored a really good SVM Addiction fic spoiler exclusive last night. Pixiegiggles sent me an extra long juicy spoiler for epilogue of The FStop.  And then she gave me 2 pieces of news to go with it ... first is a heads up you'll get the final chapter if you go and re-read chapter 3, Double Exposure. And secondly .. the first chapter of the story's sequel will be teased at end!  And in her words "it's about 1.5k, so please don't get too too excited when you see the length of this next chapter, lol. I don't have the rep for being the mini-chapter queen for nothin'"

• On Twitter, I also so that the ever-popular Zigster is working on the next Hellcat chapter. I can't wait!

• So I got this little ditty from Jan of Arc for her fic Sookie, Interrupted. Most of Jan's fics are posted on EricNorthman.net and Live Journal.  This story is a "What if?" fic, and it asks the question, "What if Sookie's parents had listened to the doctors and sent Sookie to a mental facility due to hearing voices.   Click here for the tease.

• A congratulations is in order for Countess Lubadub! Her fic Terminal Attraction hit over 400 reviews! That makes it her third highest reviewed story. Pilot E lovers ... I know I have a couple of reviews to throw in the pile, do you have one you can throw her way?

• Another When Two Wrongs Make a Right challenge entry made it to the community today. It's called P B & Jelly: A New Death OneShot by mjb84 and features Bill & Pam. She was wondering if it technically made the challenge since it has Bill, I'd have to defer to Thyra10 or Miss Construed.  But since I recently clicked on the hat and received a pairing with Bill, I suspect that it is OK.
