Sorry for not updating in a while. The holiday weekend turned out to be more busier than I thought, and then I had a couple of deadlines to make for work so I was burning the midnight oil online for the day job.  Kind of left no time for my hobby that I love.  But I'm back .. and in force.

Because of the delay in publishing the daily post for a few days, I have a healthy list of fics to check out. So make sure you visit the Fanfiction Highlights section to see the new fics and chapter updates.

Fic Spoilers

• Now, I was busy working, true; but I still managed to catch a teaser or two floating across Twitter. Like this one from Dazed Rose's new Bill fic that will be hitting computer screens near you eventually. 

• I also got some info from SVM Addict Carolinagirl96 that EricIzMine is working on a new project: An Alcide POV companion piece to Saints and Sinners. The project is called Alcide in Wonderland and Carolinagirl96 designed this banner for it. Recently, the SVM Addicts talked about S&S Alcide in SVM Addicts Take On: Alcide

• Speaking of banners, this isn't necessarily a tease but I finished a banner over the weekend for LindsayK's fic, Candle in the Window.  This story is the sequel to Graveyard of Good Intentions Redux. Click here, to check out all the banners I've created so far.

• And last but certainly not least ... A little late night tease for Terminal Attraction from Lubadub.

Twitter Updates:  A few days ago I noticed that one of the SVM Addicts, Smittenskitten, has a SVM/True Blood crossover fic called Dark Until Dead. That lead me to check out all the crossover stories for SVM on the site.  And I found out that there a couple that are currently in progress.  So I found a way to add crossover stories to the auto feed for the @SVMFanfic account.  Therefore, you will now see fics that cross SVM with True Blood, Night Huntress, Generation Kill, and Twilight.

Along the same lines, I also created a new twitter account for Night Huntress Series Fanfiction stories.  Therefore, if you follow the stories and are on twitter, follow @NHFanFic. This account will also tweet updates from the NH Role Players World blog as well. The role players currently working hard to begin playing out the books on Twitter. Click here to find all the characters and start following Cat, Bones and the gang.

Fic Spoilers

• Countess Lubadub, who's always up for giving us spoilers and teases for her wonderfully addicting stories stopped by with a teaser for ... ready ... Danger in Dixie! In this little fic tease the gang .. *skeeeert* wait .. I don't tease the tease. Go check it out. And then go check out Danger is a Dame for a recap.

• Now Lubadub's oft collaboration partner Seastarr08, also sent me a little something something about her fic, the Better Man.  In that fic, Sookie and Eric are regular people, working regular jobs, and living regular lives, but by night, they share a secret passion for vigilantism. Her spoiler is that ... there's a Better Man wedding in the horizon. :) She recently updated the story so go check it out!

With sad news, I'm here to let you know that there was a loss in the Sookieverse family. Night Orchid,  Night Orchid,  a reader and fan of SVM fanfiction, passed away a few weeks ago.  Click here, to read more info.  Suki59 wrote this tribute to the virtual friendship she held with Night Orchid.

Two New Contests


There are two contests for SVM underway.  The 7 Deadly Sins contest challenges you to write your best entry using the 7 sins known to man: lust,wrath, greed, envy, pride, sloth, and gluttony.  This is an anonymous contest so be sure to read the rules. The most recent rule change is that collaborations are welcome.

The other contest is The Age of Eric contest, which challenges you to place Eric in a historical era and create a world around him. There's a list of periods, movie references, and historical occurrence to help you select.

For each contest, I will include information as I receive it in the Contests and Challenges section of this post.

Fic Spoilers

• Not really a fic spoiler, just authors I follow who haven't updated in a while peeked out from the shade of real life yesterday to give us chapter updates.  The first was from At-A-Venture.  Chapter 13 of From the Waist Down is up!  And the second update is from FODForever.  She updated her ever popular Changing It All.  It's always exciting for readers to see favorite writers return.

The fic must be rated M, and composed of 2,500 to 10,000 words.

A Thousand years filled with incredible time periods to explore and history to tell. Yet, in the fanfiction world, Eric has stayed mostly put in the 21st Century. The hosts for The Age of Eric Contest felt that this needed to change.

Thanks to everyone who sent me some feedback yesterday. It's good to know you guys are there and aren't bored yet. *hugs*  It was helpful to know that you guys look forward to things like the confessions from the SVM Addicts and friday posts.

It was also helpful to learn that some would like to see more writers.  I rely a lot on Twitter to spread the word and ask for updates and teasers.  I recently joined Live Journal and some other sites--as Sapfirerose, of course--so I'll do my best to reach out to more fanfiction authors.  Thanks again, guys!

FFn Tech News:  Because my Twitter account is linked to Fanfiction.net, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I believe that the site is experiencing some problems.  Not only do I see alert (to my inbox) and feed discrepancies .. but the site is also having problems with traffic count. I suspect they've refreshed their server and trying to get everything back online or something.  So ... that's sort of what's going on there.

Also, for those who post their stories on Fandomfiction.com and found out that the site was down.  I got word fro Pixiegiggles that the site is back up.  She's on vacay right now so the site may be a little wonky for a couple more days but it will be back and fully operational when she gets back.  (This also means that the True Blood Viewing Party Room should be back by the 11th.)

Fic Spoilers

•  Pimp time ... Lubadub, my Countess of Kink, has teamed up with Seastarr08 to create Lubstarr. They have teamed up before to write stories before, and now they have a profile to go with it.  They are currently working on a new story that will chronicle the history of Eric and Pam, appropriately called Eric and Pam's Excellent Adventure .  Here's a couple of teases that Lubadub sent me tease 1 and tease 2. There were a couple others I think, but these were the two I received. Maybe if you coax Lubstarr you can get more.
  
  There's a part two to Eric and Pam's Excellent Adventure, Lubadub and Seastarr08 are also looking for writers who would like to contribute chapters to the story.  If you are interested, contact them.
