    The Valentine's Fae Tales Contest

    Write Eric and Sookie into your favorite fairy tale. What happens when the prince is a Viking vampire or Cinderella is actually a telepath? How far can Sookie fall down the rabbit hole before Mad Hatter Eric catches her?

    Take a storybook fairy tale and integrate it with the SVM universe. You can either place the characters in the fairy tale, put the fairy tale in the SVM world or just be clearly inspired by a classic fairy tale.

    What was your first fanfiction story?

    I was reading for so long before I finally signed up for a user name on FF.net, but I know that the first story that I marked as a favorite was Pour Some Sugar On Me by BonTempsBaby. I love how the story progresses and how the characters evolve. BTB does a great job telling the story from both perspectives, which was definitely intriguing to me after reading SVM totally from Sookie's POV. It's quite fun being in Eric's head, as it turns out :-)

              Halloween in Bon Temps - Favorite Fics During Halloween

              It's been called Samhain, All Saints' Day, and All Hallow's Eve but today most of us recognize October 31st as Halloween.  A night when folks dress in costume, nibble on candy, and some may even gorge in libations.

              Last year, Zigster and Yogagal decided to have a little fun and launched the Eric and His Great Pumpkin Contest.  With 45 contest entries and even more fics that were not entered, this contest helped inspire a flurry of stories that take place on or around Halloween. Click here for all the entries for this contest.

              So for the October recommendation post, here are favorite Halloween fics from SVM fans. Thanks to all who participated. I've been doing this recommending thing for a while now and I could come up with topics every month but without you, it would just be a list of the ones I know.  Thanks for this, especially those of you who don't recommend 'anonymously'.
