The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter for SVM fans on information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - Halloween Fic Recs: Check out the latest recommendations post: Halloween in Bon Temps - Favorite Halloween Fics. Recommendations are by many SVM fanfiction fans. I will be doing another one this month, so stay tuned.
- November Avi: The new avi for @SVMFanFic was created by Vikingfangtasies. She writes an on-going multi-chapter fic called Rescue Me starring Lifeguard Eric and also has an entry in the I Write the Songs Contest. There are so many great fics in this contest so be sure to check them out and review for support.
- Latest Contest Updates: Speaking of contests ...
» First Blood Contest - Second round of voting last day is today, November 1. Be sure to vote for one of the top 3. Results will be announced on November 5th.
» My Vamp Fiction announced the winner of the Original Fiction Contest this past weekend. I know that BathshebaRocks entered the contest. Hopefully, she will let us know which one was hers. My Vamp Fiction is an Affliate site for My SVM Addiction.

- First Blood Contest: Click here for details
News: Second round of voting is up. Be sure to vote for one of the top 3 before Monday, November 1. Results will be announced on November 5th.
- I Write the Songs Contest: Click here for details
News: 28 entries. Entry period has ended and judges are working hard to read and score the last 20 or so fics. In total, there were 51 entries to this contest setting a record for the most entries for a SVM contest so far. The second highest is Eric and His Great Pumpkin with 44 entries.
- A New Chapter Contest: Click here for details
News: Newbie writer contest. One entry. Submission deadline is November 12th. Go to TheSookieverse.com for official news and if you are know of newbies thinking of writing, encourage them to enter. It's fun!

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: November 3)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "The light at the end of a tunnel may be an oncoming train. " After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- When Human Meets Fangs (Deadline: November 27th)
Challenge: Area Five (a new fanfiction archive site) host their first challenge. They want stories of humans/non vampires meeting a vampire for the first time. It is not limited to just Sookie.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
