Hi: I'm Sapfirerose, in real life, Zee. I'm thirty-something *winks* and I'm a Southern Vampires Mysteries (SVM) Fanfiction Addict.
I have been a fan of SVM since I saw my first episode of True Blood. I started watching episodes of Sookie and the gang, and decided that I love the story and characters. Some time after the season ended, I started reading Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse Series Books and it only took me 2 months to devour the books before Season 2 of True Blood started.
It didn't take long for me to find fanfiction on the internet. I never knew this world existed before, which is odd since I'm a Trekkie, I love comic book characters (X-men the most, but also the Justice League characters too), and I watch cartoons ... oh and anime, too. So go figure. *shrugs*
My first fic was NOT Let Love In. I was a Quinn fan. (I know I know .. I've learned the error of my ways.) My first fic was a little ditty called First Attraction by SumFatChic. I went on to read 2 more Quinn-lovers fics before I decided to give in and read, Terri Botta's most famous Fanfiction story. Not only was that story the "gateway drug" to my fanfiction addiction, but I came to an understanding (along with Sookie) that Eric is the one. What was your "gateway" fanfiction story?
So that's my SVM and fanfiction story, now more about this blog.
Let me first start off by saying that I am NOT a writer. By trade, I write online content for non-fictional subjects. And most of that writing is copyediting. I have written an occasional blog article. But for the most part I create the blog concept and have others write the articles. My SVM Addiction will show how I've learned to use blogging as a social media tool to promote. And what am I promoting you say? Southern Vampire Mysteries Fanfiction, of course. *smiles*
Every week *fingers crossed* I'll post articles about the stories on fanfiction. My hope is to convey my sense of humor and undying support I have for each writer and fan of SVM Fanfiction. I've been planning this blog for a while so I hope you enjoy it.
PSA Notice: I'm planning to post daily articles letting readers know which stories have been updated for the day, no matter where in the internet world they live. Since the Sookieverse is everywhere, this will help alert readers and promote your story. Just fill out this simple form when you have updated your story or created a new one and I'll be sure to include in a daily posting. I plan to promote the post all over the SVM fanfiction world.
