"Besides the fact that we get to imagine Eric in suits, this story is funny! I was laughing out loud and with tears in my eyes, that almost never happens, and with this fic it was happening all the time!
Although it's not a new premise - Executive Eric, PA Sookie etc, it is a refreshing voice and style and the writer has an annoyingly good grasp on suspense, sexual tension and cliffhangers - but I can't really complain about that because it makes the story more awesome.
I can't find the words to tell everyone how great this newcomer is and I can't wait to read more of his work... yes HIS - author is a guy, obviously it doesn't make a difference - he could be a chicken and he'd still be an awesome writer, I'm totes pimping him all over twitter after Thyra10 mentioned his work.
It is a work in progress but don't let that stop you from trying this fic on for size, I SWEAR you will not regret following along with this story." -- blueiris
"The premise is one we've seen time and time again: Executive Eric and PA Sookie. And who doesn't like to read highpowered Eric, in designer suits, and sassy and sweet Sookie tending to his every whim. What makes 'Collide' different is that for possibly the first time in the SVM fandom we have the pleasure of getting an Eric POV story written by a male. NumberedWord take on Eric is fresh and enlightening, and it seems that he has given Eric a little more something. Not only has he given us a very livingly Eric and Sookie, but NW has devealed into the Bromance that surrounds Eric and his BBF's Alcide, Jason and Tray.
'Collide' is a pleasure to read, it makes me laugh and leaves me wanting more." -- Dazedrose
"I have been shouting from the rooftops about this fabulous story for weeks now. It is written from Eric's POV - AH story. The writer writes EPOV very well. The best part of this story is the friendship between Eric, Jason, Tray and Alcide. This writer really captures their friendship and loyalty. It is written very well - not beta'd. He is a first time writer and has started a series of one-shots that are laugh out loud hilarious. In his last A/N he admitted to being male which is why he writes males well. I was hooked before I found this to be the case...
He has a nice blend of sexual innuendo, Executive Northman, sensitive guy (ONLY where Sookie is concerned), loyal guy friend and no nonsense pragmatism.
I LOVE this story - I hope you guys take a moment to consider it. " -- GreyGooseCitron
"1. it's a fantastic story. i was hooked 2 chapters in.
2. it's written by our possibly sole SVM male writer so i think he deserves some mad props.
3. it's under reviewed like WHOA! "

"Well, it may not seem like it but humor is a major reason for me to love a story. I enjoy smut and the HEA but humor is just as important. This story is freaking hilarious at times. The banter between all the characters is great. Pam is Eric's sister. There is a great bromance going with Eric and his friends (Jason, Alcide and Tray). The Jason bits are hysterical or at least, they make me hysterical. Bill is a douche. It really has all my favorite characteristics. Oh and it is written Eric POV which I always love when it is done well." -- Northwoman
"What a fantastic idea ... a recommendations blitz! When BlueIris tweeted on Twitter that everyone who is enjoying this story should recommend it here, I had to join it too. I too have been reading and enjoying Collide for a while. I started reading this story because the author said the the story would be totally in Eric's point of view. Some of my favorite stories are in one POV. The one that I can think of right now ... Saints and Sinners by EricIzMine. As a matter of fact, a lot of this story is going to remind you of S&S. From the portrayal of guy relationships and humor to the fast pace storyline, if you enjoyed S&S for these things, you will definitely like this one. Check it out." -- Sapfirerose
» Entropy by Soluus
"Gorgeously poetic drabble, Eric and Godric discover that everything dies." -- VicVega66
» Father, Brother, Son by Leah Raphael
"Slash, but tasteful slash and beautifully written. Eric/Godric" -- VicVega66
» Heat is in the Tools by Miss Construed
"This story is by one of my favorite authors and about the only Sookie & Alcide pairing you would catch me recommending. I can do that since Eric isn't really in this story and it is one HOT fic. Not only that, Bill is a douche. Sookie thinks Bill is her dream man until she gets sidetracked by a real man, Alcide who sweeps her off her feet." -- Northwoman
» One of these Mornings by Miral
"This alternate universe imagines what Sookie's life might have been like had she not been able to handle the constant thoughts of others and resorted to drug use to escape from all the unwanted access to people's minds. This is a very emotional story-- even though you know how it ends from the first chapter, I still felt compelled to read on to find out how Eric arrives at that final scene. A tragic story that is worth reading, as long as you can handle angst." -- moxiemo
» Reacting According by Kat darklighter
"Godric teaches Eric a lesson, slash and hot as hell on a holiday." -- VicVega66
» The Angel of Death by Ataventure
"I probably shouldn`t recommend this one since there is a big risk that it will never be finished, but I do.
Ataventure was one of my favorite writers until she went to greener non-SVM pastures and I miss her writing. What I really wish for is that she would finish this story because it started out so very well. It`s about Sookie, the nun, who thinks Eric, the vampire, is an angel and is tortured because the Church thinks she is possessed by the devil. Eric saves her from prison but what can he do with a human woman? The story is set in pre-reformation Europe (I read it as France, but she only says "Europe outside of Spain").
Ataventure has invited other writers to finish her story. If anyone hears the calling - you would find me jumping up and down in poor joy." -- Thyra10
» The Trait by J.R. Watkins
"Sookie wakes up in a hospital bed with all kinds of unlikely people around her: tiny Dr Ludwig with her bizarre bedside manner; an honest to goodness vampire (who is seriously gorgeous) who is apparently consulting on her case although Sookie isn't quite sure what exactly he is consulted about; and Ivy, a whirlwind of a nurse with mad fashion sense, who stays with her during the day, and who turns out to actually be her bodyguard. Sookie doesn't know why she would need a bodyguard, or how she got to a hospital she has never heard of when it's just for supes anyway.Gran seems to know something about it, certainly more than she has explained so far...
And all of this is happening because one evening, at home in the shower, Sookie Stackhouse bled to death, and nobody knows why or how she is still alive...
This is a new story, only 4 chapters so far so lots still to discover. Some of the characters are canon, some are new and while it's not quite the usual SVM world, it is familiar. It's interesting and different and definitely worth a look. It is rated M, presumably for future events." -- axadams
» Where I Am by Nyah
"Do you ever wonder how you missed a story? I stumbled across this amazing one shot almost a year after it had been originally published. This story was commissioned for the Support Stacie auctions by nycsnowbird, who wanted some insight into what Eric was thinking during the bonding in Rhodes. Eric must explain to the FBI his connection to Sookie. This story give me tingles, even after a few readings. If you missed this one like I did, check it out now!" -- moxiemo
» You Get Your Life Back by Speranza
"If only True Blood was like this, I would like it so much more. This is Sookie more like Sookie from the books - constantly in adventures, and not once is she told to stay in her house where it's safe. Love the action heavy plot. Favourite bit - when Eric tells Sookie there's a nest of spiders in her house. Truly - the show would so rock if it was more like this." -- peppermintyrose
