Hi my name is CatieMak and I'm a SVM addict ...
What was the first fanfiction story you read?
My first fanfiction story was - I believe - Eric by DeeDeeINFJ. But I remember reading both Eric and Let Love In by Terri Botta pretty early on, which is probably why I'm so obsessed with the SVM fandom. Those 2 stories are among the best I've ever read. They are both absolutely amazing stories.
What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?
The more SVM fanfiction I've read, the more I enjoy reading the All Human stories. As much as I enjoy Vampire Eric and Telepath Sookie, I really enjoy reading Actor Eric and Photographer Sookie, or Sex Professor Eric and Book Editor Sookie, or...you get the idea. I also enjoy some tasty citrus every now and again - but who doesn't? And thanks to some of the great authors in this fandom, I'm even starting to like Sookie and Alcide. Who knew? =0)
Name ten fics (SVM, TB or other) you are reading right now.
This was insanely tough, but here is my list of 10 fics I'm currently reading - in no particular order (and definitely not all of them):
- Healing Blood by BellaWriter7
- Danger in Dixie by Lubadub
- Eric by DeeDeeINFJ
- Halo Effect by Missus T
- The Heat is in the Tools by Miss Construed
- Couples Therapy by evenflo78
- The Birth of Eve sawyersmine
- The Bitch and the Hellcat by Zigster
- Shades of Dawn by AshleySue
- Sometimes a Fantasy by greenlemons
Recommend one fic and give us review of why you like it.
One fic that I would definitely recommend is A Fate Worse Than Death by CassandraMello. It's a really interesting take on Sookie and Eric because Eric is a homeless man, who is convinced that he is a 1,000 year old vampire. Sookie has taken an interest in him, and despite her rational side screaming at her, she brings him food and befriends him. Interesting, right? It's only a few chapters in, so there's no excuse that the story's too far along to catch up. The characters are interesting, the situation is unique, and I'm excited for what's coming up.--------------------------------------------------------
