A Conversation by YoungBoho
"Sookie and Eric are known for putting off important conversations. But in each chapter of this story, YoungBoho forces Eric and Sookie to have those difficult discussions while still keeping them true to character. This story explores my most burning questions about Eric and Sookie: Can they have a relationship as she ages? Would she be able to have happiness with another mortal? Would Eric ever let her go, if that was her choice? In a truly life or death situation, would Sookie still remain steadfast in her opposition to being turned, and if so, would Eric honor that decision?
Not only is the plot of this story gripping, it's well written. The dialogue is captivating and engaging. And don't think this is all talk-- there is plenty of action! The heat between Eric and Sookie in this story is enough to make you turn on the air conditioner in the dead of winter. If you like canon, vampire Eric and Sookie stories that explore the future of their relationship, you should check out this story!" -- moxiemo
Adopt A Vampire by worthfighting4
"It just can't be said enough - this story is one of the funniest things I've ever read in the SVM Fanfic world. It's still just as funny when you read it the second and third time round. It's all plot - every bit of it, and totally hilarious writing. WF4 keeps the characters to their original selves, and writes a totally catching relationship between Sookie and Eric, but the action never lets up." -- peppermintyrose
Always the Protector by worthfighting4
"This short little fic just has 2 chapters. The first is Sookie's POV and the 2nd is in Eric's POV. It tells a different tale of what happens after Eric remembers everything after the Nevada takeover. I wish this is what had happened." -- Northwoman
Fierceness and Depth by DCWriter
"This is a canon story set after Dead and Gone. It tells why Eric was not there to save Sookie from the fairies. It is 6 chapters and complete. The author is one of my favorites who has not been on fanfiction for awhile. It is a much more satisfying story that the one in Dead in the Family, as far as why Eric was not there." -- Northwoman
Halo Effect by Missus T
"This week we’re recommending Halo Effect by Missus T. The tables are turned on cannon when after a paparazzi accident Actor Eric finds an amnesiac Sookie in his arms. This fic is adorable and hot, not to mention it’s got a good dose of foodporn going for it." -- FandomFiction
Head Full of Doubt : Road Full of Promise by scribeninja
"I was lucky enough to receive a sneak peek at up coming chapters. Get in on the ground floor because OMG this fic is going to be awesome. It's different, it's interesting, it's extremely well written and just complete WIN.
Those that don't know how awesome the scribe is should definitely get started learning. She blows the mind - what are you still reading this for - GET GOING!!" -- blueiris
Rise by Sin by ChanelAddict
"This is a wonderful fic, set in the 1950's in the Catholic Church. Sookie and Eric and have both entered the Church - Eric as a priest, and Sookie as a nun. It's only after they make that decision that they wonder if they'd be better off together, and angst ensues.
One of the great things about this fic is exploring the ways the characters feel about their faith, and making the choice to love all people in their professions, or love each other in a relationship. It's not a fic that just makes out like the solution to this problem is easy and should be without thought, and that's what makes it so good. " -- peppermintyrose
System of a Down by Terri Botta
"System of a Down by Terri Botta is a o/s that takes place before the Great Revelation. It's 1985 and Eric is living in a small nest in San Francisco. He's found a human ""companion"" named Candy who he uses for blood and sex. He isn't worried that she'll reveal his secret, and even if she did, he keeps her doped up on enough drugs that no one would believe him. He spends his time trying to keep the members of his nest in line, which is no small task, so that he can live under the radar as much as possible. He certainly doesn't want to draw the attention of the magistrate to himself or his nest.
Where the fic really gets interesting is when Lestat and Louis come into the story. Yes, you heard me right, Lestat and Louis are alive and well and up to no good. They are a different type of vampire - the biggest difference is that they cannot have sex. Eric believes that is what makes them so reckless, publishing books and pulling stunts to make their presence known to all of humanity. Of course, their behavior earns them few friends in the vampire community. What happens when vampires of Lestat and Louis' kind start being killed and Victor Madden steps into the equation? I guess you'll need to head over to the Dungeon and read System of a Down to find out!" -- My Vamp Fiction
Tasting Sin by Leia1912
"This is a long-time favorite of mine. It is the only fic that I have a post-it not on my computer that lists my fav chapters - all 37 of them! hehe That's out of 80. So whenever there is an update I have to AT LEAST reread my favorite 37 plus the one before plus the new one. Eric is his funny, sexy self, always with Sookie. Sookie unfortunately is stubborn, but getting there. At least when Quinn keeps trying to get back with her she keeps telling him NO. There is a mystery woven in with the humor of Eric trying to get Sookie to yield. hehehe I love it." -- Northwoman
The Dating Game by wickedspice
"This is a one-shot which really highlights the characters and their personalities. It is funny and I read it every time I need a pick me up. Eric & Pam decide to have a dating game show at Fangtasia. Sookie is the bachelorette. Who are the bachelors and what kind of questions do they answer? You need to read and find out!" -- Northwoman
Washed Ashore by Vikinglover Elle
"Vampire Eric and telepathic Sookie end up on a deserted island together. They don't know each other previously. Their chemistry is fantastic. A nice slow build up on a romantic relationship. It has kind of a Blue Lagoon feel to it with the struggle for survival and Sookie's innocence." -- momzombie
