- Lemon Tart Awards by The Fang Readers: The Fang Readers Community ... the same girls running the True ~blood~ Reading Group is proud to present The Lemon Tart Awards. To recognize all the lemony fics out there in SVM. To submit your nomination for your fav citrus scenes, go to http://bit.ly/lemon-tart-awards. Some of the categories include: Best Kiss and Best Romantic Moment. And there are a lot more categories, but I can't type them without blushing so I'll let you go check them out for yourself and start nominating.
- February Contest Deadlines: The contest deadlines are coming! The contest deadlines are coming! And first up ... the deadline for the Happily Never After Contest. Not for those who want to see the main pairing ride off into the sunset, this contest challenges you to gain a flare for the dramatic and produce a story that will leave the reader a mess. With a few entries in (I have no idea how many since I am a judge) this contest set to close on February 14th. If you were still thinking of entering, in the last Daily Update (check out SVM Gets Real with the HNA Contest), I offered suggestions on how you could come up with a story for this contest. - Home Sweet Home Contest: The last contest during this period
WinterFanfiction Contest period is about to start. At the same time the HNA Contest ends, the Home Sweet Home Contest entry period begins. On February 15, get read to start submitting your stories about SVM characters from your hometow, or a place you've you’ve lived. Click here to read more about the contest.

- Rated T and Pretty Darn Good: So what if it doesn't have explicit lemons or gory violent scenes with tons blood oozing out, it's a fic you enjoy and it's not rated M! I'm doing a new Recommendations Post, and this time I'm looking for fics that are rated T. These fics still tell a good story but are often missed or (haven't been missed) because of the lower rating. Let's give these stories some exposure. Click Rec Rated T Fics, for more information.

News: Write a story that is different from the rest. And by different, we mean it follows a different story line or portrays the SVM characters differently from the status quo -- the common themes in SVM fanfiction repertoire. Submission period ends on February 25th.
- Valentine's Fae Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a fairy tale story with Eric and Sookie. Submission period extended to February 25th. Looking for ideas? Try Children Myths and Fairy tales from around the world, or you can just type "fairy tales" in the title search and more books will pop up in Project Gutenberg.
- Home Sweet Home Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a story about any or all of the SVM characters and put them in a place in which you’ve lived. Submission period hasn't started. It begins on February 15th.

Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "The road to Easy Street goes through the sewer. --John Madden" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
