SVM Contest and Challenges Update 2/22

Normally known in the Daily Updates as the Contest, Challenges and Giveaways section, here is a recap of the contest and challenges news in SVM fandom.  The reason I decided to separate this section out this week is because I haven't been able to do the Daily Updates for a while, and I wanted to make sure everyone was savvy on the latest haps.

After all that's what My SVM Addiction is really good at ... bringing the latest SVM/TB news to you as often as I can.

Contests

• Happily (N)ever After Contest
  Status: Voting period starts soon
  
  NEWS: The submission entry period for this contest ended on February 14th.  Voting is scheduled to begin on March 1, so if you haven't read all the entries, this is the time to do it! Click here for details.
  
  

• Saint Eric Contest
  Status: Entry submission period
  
  NEWS: Still in entry submission period until February 25th. This contest asks for stories that are different from the rest.  There are currently 4 entries and a little time left so click here for details and to see all entries.
  

• Valentine's Fae Contest 
  Status: Entry submission period
  NEWS: Another contest whose deadline date approaches soon (just 5 more days), this contest asks for Eric and Sookie fairytales. The submission period was extended to the 27th and voting is set to start soon after. Click here for details.  Looking for ideas? Try searching for "fairy tales" with Project Gutenberg.

• Home Sweet Home Contest
  Status: Entry Submission period
  
  NEWS: The entry period just started on February 15th! This new contests asks writers to write a story about any or all of the SVM characters and put them in a place in which they have lived. Be the first to enter your story in the contest, click here for details

• The Indie Fic Contest
  Status: Submission period coming soon
  
  NEWS: I wasn't given permission to say a lot about this contest so this will be very brief. Just be on the look out for the new Indie Fic Contest coming in March, bought to you buy the Fangreaders Community.

Challenges

• Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: February 27)
  
  Challenge:  Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "The female of the species is more deadly than the male. --Rudyard Kipling" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.

• Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
  
  Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Using a nifty name generator write a story for two lesser famous characters in the SVM World.
