Blogger Note: I met this darling addict on Twitter where literally hundreds of the Sookieverse gals convene daily. Not only is she addicted to reading fanfiction, she finds time write and beta as well.  Hearttorn's current ongoing stories include Glamour or Natural? (AH/AU) and Sookie Takes a Pet (AU). Hi my name is Hearttorn and I'm a SVM addict ...

 

What was your first fanfiction story?

Let Love In by Terri Botta. I'm not gonna lie, I started out being VERY skeptical of fanfic. But, a group of friends on Facebook were all into it and talking about it, so I gave it a try. Now I'm hooked! There was such a long lull with no new SVM books and no True Blood reruns that it really helped fill my withdrawal symptoms. :)

I love so many stories that my favorites list was getting crazy, so I created a group called The Best Complete SVM Stories and One-Shots. where I post all the stories I love that are complete, which keeps my favorites list slightly more manageable! Other readers are welcome to PM me with story suggestions for the community, too. It seems like most of my time now is occupied with fanfic in one way or another. LOL

What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?

I do likes me some HEA. :) However, I've read just about all the SVM stories out there. I tend to stick to rated T and M, and I'm not really into the ones with original characters (as in "Eric and Original Character" etc). I avoided AH for a long time, until my FB girls started raving about House of Flesh on Fire by FarDareisMai2 and now I'm into that genre as well.

Oh wow, just one? Umm... okay. Blue Eyed Beast - the plot/setting is so unusual, and it's extremely well written. It's fascinating! A lot of people might pass over it based on the description of it being in Victorian times, but I really can't say enough good things about it. It needs more love, so check it out!

... and that's Hearttorn.  And I have to agree with her, I didn't start reading AH stories until after reading FarDareIsMai2, as well.  I was hooked on canon when I started reading fanfiction BUT after FDM, I started hunting for more. And before I even became Twitter friends with this darling, I subscribed to her community, The Best Complete SVM Stories and One-Shots.
