It was gone for a week but it's back! Here are some fics recommended by other readers that are worth the read. I have to say a big 'thank you' to the many readers who take the time to recommend these stories. Since starting this blog I've heard from writers who appreciate the love from their fans. Allegro by Chiisai-kitty
For starters, it's written by my fabulous beta, chiisai-kitty. She has a way with words, and snark, that blows me away. She has an eye for fashion design which blends PERFECTLY with this story. Allegro is Dancing with the Stars meets SVM - but you don't need to watch the show to love the fic! Trust me, I speak from experience. Actor Eric is teamed with Pro Dancer Sookie and, eventually, sparks fly! This is a GREAT little fic that deserves much more attention! -- Lubadub

I so shouldn't be reading a new fic right now when I have about 12 updates sitting in my inbox but when I saw one of my favorite authors with a new fic, well. I am weak, very, very weak. I am so glad I am very, very weak. I am loving this fic! It's still new and just a few chapters in but I have to say I am digging it hard. So much to explore in a story like this. And let's be honest here, it's seastarr08, she is really good at melding angst, sex, humor, and RL emotions into a fic. With every fic I have seen real growth from her as a writer and again she does not disappoint! Put it on your alerts people! I promise you will be oh so very glad you did! -- Kyss Ericsson

E/S plus the rest of the gang/canon. A mega 34 chapter book from the one and only FarDareisMai2. Now be warned ok!? This is not a nice fluffy read, in fact it's Ms Angst, of Angst Street, Angstville, Angst County. Do I make myself clear lol? Adult themes, disturbing happenings (but nothing even remotely OTT) and a bloody good read! Sookie is kidnapped and our lovely man moves heaven and earth to get her back, chasing her, and sundown, halfway across the world. Will what happens to her change her so much that he if he does get her back he will wonder where his Sookie went? Who knows? (well FDM does, obviously :)) This is an unputdownable read and there is a great ensemble cast. -- Alison at Northman Maille
Dead and Blonde by Math Princess
This is a what if story. How would things go if Eric was originally sent instead of Bill to find Sookie and bring her to service of the Queen? Would Sookie be as receptive to Eric as she was to Bill? How would Eric treat her? I enjoy the personalities of the characters. It is fun to see Eric and Sookie get to know each other. It is heartening to see Sookie be open and friendly with Eric. (I must disclose that I beta this story.) -- Northwoman

TWI fic. I found this fic on another authors list of favorite stories, I don't remember, but I think it was Zigster. I love that this is a mysterious and romantic fic. It's story driven and captivating. Bella goes to write the biography of a reclusive author, where she meets a "ghost" on his property. The chapters leave you wondering what could be coming next and how the pieces fit together. -- Missus T
Glass Houses by Terri Botta
One of my absolute favorite one-shots. Beautiful and full of heartfail, yet seasoned with just enough humor to create a masterpiece. And now there's a bonus-- she updated it with a second chapter a few months ago. This is one of my favorite vamp Erics. I don't know how she does it, but she somehow manages to show his sweetness and devotion, without taking away any of the Viking's bad-ass-ness. And, her use of a Gone with the Wind reference will just make you smile and sniffle at the same time. If you have not enjoyed this little gem, it is a must read! -- pixiegiggles
Heroes & Hitmen and Wife Swap by NorCrisp76 (SVM/Night Huntress Series Crossover)
If you love SVM (and if you don't you are in the wrong place dude:) and you love Night Huntress then you can't do better than these TWO fics, that's right guys, it's a 2 for 1 recommendation. They are written by Norcrisp76 which is the pen name of a collaboration of Tradermare, LanYap and Kristen Elizabeth. With the magic beta skills of FarDareIsMai2 and Wildcat76, how can you go wrong? Heroes and Hitmen: In summary, Cat and Bones agree to one last job, preventing a hit on a certain swexy vampire King and his human/fae/telepath wife. Watch the Viking watch another vamp sink his fangs into Sookie and then witness a lot of very sexy 'claiming' what is theirs afterwards. When you recover, and bear in mind I became pregnant reading it, try Wife Swap Also NH/SVM , one chapter in so far and very nawty and fun already....but what do you think it's going to be about? *winks* -- Alison @ Northman Maille

E&S rated M by Pforte. I have read this 5 chapter fic a few times now and I always enjoy it. Not From Here by Roux Roux (TrueBlood)
This is a little out there from the usual fics, Sookie and Eric get sucked through a portal into another world. It's reminiscent of the series where Angel and Co. go to Lorne's home world (for anyone who ever watched Angel it was probably the best series out of the 5) but there are enough differences to make it entertaining rather than repetitive.
The original characters and different species the author has come up with are fab and updates are very regular so far. If you're looking for something that doesn't have Sookie leaving Bill and falling into Eric's arms immediately this might quench your thirst a little. -- Janofarc

I like stories based on the feel of the characters. Eric is sexy, smart but totally enamored of Sookie in this story. Sookie is hard working, a bit insecure, and unfortunately prone to running. I fear that after their initial difficulties in getting together more trouble is ahead but I love the playful, sweet, hot way they are together. -- Northwoman

As a yoga enthusiast, this story really does it for me. Eric is a bar owner, who throws his back out on the job. He's told to take yoga classes to help with the pain. Sookie is a sexy yogi who teaches him the benefits of a good workout. Chemestry develops and then some hot lemons. Oh, it's goooood -- Lubadub
The Sequel by Sarita.Alex
"The Sequel" is the follow up story to "The Heights" by sarita.alex (go read that first!!!). "The Heights" began as a one-shot in the Poppin' Cherries contest for newbie writers, and sarita.alex's first story was the 2nd place Judge's Selection winner. These stories take you from small-town Maine to big-time Hollywood with lots of Eric/Sookie angst and miscommunications in between. Eric and Sookie may have gotten their HEA in "The Heights" but can they hold onto it in "The Sequel?" Warning: If you don't like angst, this is not for you. This is the first True Blood fic I've read and it's written by the creator of the FStop. She once told me that this is the fic that she's most proud of and I can see why. In this thoughtful and beautiful piece, Pixiegiggles puts some context around one of the most memorable scenes of Season Two, Godric meeting the sun. -- Sapfirerose
