Fanfictastic Friday fic recommendation is open to all fic categories. Since many of us read other fanfiction stories (like Twilight and Night Huntress), I think everyone would like to hear about other stories in fandom. Now on to this weeks recommendations ....
Stories Recommended in this Post: A Fresh Start by TXone (SVM); Dead Wrong by FairyFloss01 (SVM); Northman Anatomy by Ericsminion (SVM); Terminal Attraction by Lubadub (SVM); The Cash Out by Kyss Ericsson (SVM); The Heights by Sarita.Alex (SVM)
A Fresh Start by TXone (SVM)
This vampire fic is set immediately after book 8, so there's no book 9 speculation in here. In this story by Txone, she creates a world where Sookie starts just living life to it's potential. This fic provides a light adventure storyline to the story and introduces elements I haven't seen discussed in SVM vamp fics a lot. -- Sapfirerose
Dead Wrong by FairyFloss01 (SVM)
This story starts right after book 9.
Usually I don't read AU. But the author had me fixed with the wonderful plot.
If you agree to the fact that Sookie should not be turned but get her HEA you NEED to read this.
I do not lie when I say this, but this is something I will stick by as a alternative ending for the SVM series.
CH should follow this actually. *giggles*
The author of this story is writting a series for this now, which I am following.
Seriously though, listen to my hypnoting voice and read this story. Also, leave her some love. This did not get many reviewed as it should have. -- smittenskitten
Northman Anatomy by Ericsminion (SVM)
Ericsminion is a fan of Grey's Anatomy and she got an idea of creating a version of the show using the Bon Temps/Shreveport bunch. This fic was published before the actual start of the Dead Pan contest and I like this story because I'm a HUGE Grey's fan. So seeing Eric in a steamy-dreamy-type role is fun. The story has only 2 chapters since it started in December. But I'm thinking if more readers, read, like it, review it; it can possibly encourage the more chapters. -- Sapfirerose
Terminal Attraction by Lubadub (SVM)
Pilot E! I'm going to go ahead and put out to the cosmos that I love this dude. Lubs (Lubadub) has to hear this from me with every review. Mostly on how I love this characterization of Eric. He's a little bit ho, kind of dirty, with a splash of healthy machismo that comes with a dude who goes through life behaving in this manner. The story line is great too! Starting off as PWP, and then moving towards a little bit of a plot ... I'd like to re-categorize this as a "destination fic." *snickers* You really just have to read it, and find out what I mean. OK, I'll give you a little bit more ... Eric is a pilot and Sookie is his stewardess. OK, now go read and review! -- Sapfirerose
The Cash Out by Kyss Ericsson (SVM)
This story by Kyss Ericsson is an expansion of a sample story for the Cowboy Up contest. It answers the question of what you think will happen when you mix Cowboys and Cowgirls, Tequila and Vegas together. What can you say about the story after chanting ... Vegas, Vegas, Vegas. I love how the story started, the build-up, leading all the way to ... well the ending of the first chapter. *snickers* This is a review and I'm not going to spoil it for you. Just know that it's a wild ride and you will want to check it out. This is another story, that I'm throwing out there for review encouragement! The maybe Kyss will give us some more of this duo. -- Sapfirerose
The Heights by Sarita.Alex (SVM)
This story by sarita.alex started as an entry in the Poppin Eric's Cherry contest and bloomed into a 14 chapter fic. It begins as a summer romance between the hotelier's heir and the young maid, and turns into a tale of two young professionals trying to get over their past and live (and love) in the present. The real reason I wanted to rec this story this week is that she just posted the first two chapters to the sequel (Also titled The Sequel. LOL). So if you haven't read The Heights, you've missed out! Get caught up and get started on this new story as well! -- Missus T
