Bent But Not Broken by Indigobuni (SVM)
Indigobuni is a terrific writer and has provided one of my favorite "post Dead and Gone" fics, along with Fierceness and Depth (DCWriter16) and Dead and Wrong (Meg2) . [Check out those too if you haven't already.] The story has action and angst reminiscent to the fanfic classic Chasing the Light by FarDareisMai2. And extremely memorable book characters, such as the Felipe de Castro you love to hate but can't stop reading about.
Based off the canon, the storyline still stays true and provides a realistic approach the story starts off with Sookie trying to come to terms with the Fairy War and the family and friends she has lost. From there the adventure begins. If you like action, angst, adventure and resolution, then you will love this one. -- Sapfirerose
Blue Eyed Beast by VikingVampFan (SVM)
Period piece by VikingVampFan. 1800s-AU. What if Sookie's only way to escape life as a spinster was to follow her brother's wishes and wed his business partner? Handsome as this stranger may be, there is very different about him. Soon Sookie will see she isn't the only one with secrets...
(Notice that is says AU, not AH - what could the handsome suitor's secret be? hmmm) This story is so good! It is such an interesting take on the dynamics of Eric and Sookie. Don't let the time period hold you back from reading, it is written very well and the details don't overwhelm. I really can't say enough about this fic. How has no one rec'd this fic yet?! Blue Eyed Beast transports our favorite canon characters back to Victorian England. Sookie is a telepath, Jason is a dumbass, Eric is a vampire, and Pam is his child!
Sookie has always been outcast because of her disability. When Eric agrees to marry her, Jason jumps at the chance and arranges the union (like you did in the olden days). A MUST READ! -- Lubadub
Birthday Gift Wrap by Vamplover1 (SVM)
This one is an oldie -- by fanfic standards of course -- written by Vamplover1 (co-host of the Poppin' Cherries contest). This completed vamp fic is post Dead and Gone and not as dark most fics that follow book 9. But not without it's share of angst either. In this story Niall leaves Sookie a birthday gift she can't refuse. A good "what if" type story for sure. -- Sapfirerose
Colorado Summers Redux by AshleySue (SVM)
The original fic for this story was a Cowboy Up! contest entry. AshleySue decided to do a redux to expand and continue the story line. This on-going A/H story starts with Eric and Sookie at a young age and growing up on a ranch. It's a good wholesome kind of fic, with great storytelling-type writing to boot. Meaning, that there's no heavy angst that will make your nerves quiver, and the plot has a good flow to it. This is the kind of fic you read on a do-nothing kind of day, so you can get lost in a Colorado summer. -- Sapfirerose
Dying to Know by Hellbunnyofdoom (SVM)
This is a new take on what happens after Dead and Gone. It's really great as she builds up to Eric and Sookie trusting one another and the new drama that their involved in. It's exciting, has some excellent lemons and Eric still very much stays vampire-ish. It's very well done! -- greenlemons

It's a completed oldie, but I absolutely adore it. It was different than the stories I'd normally read. It was a neat twist on Sookie and Eric and one I loved seeing in my inbox. -- A Redhead Thing
Lover Lay Down by At A Venture (SVM)
I thought this was a very funny fic. Amelia messes up with her magic again and turns Sookie into sleeping beauty, leaving Amelia stressed out trying to find the man who can wake her up with true love's kiss. The funniest parts are from Sookie's POV - yes she's asleep but she can hear everything and has an opinion! -- Janofarc

OK - this one's a little older - it's from this past Halloween. Sookie goes to a crazy ass party thrown by Pam dressed as a Barbie doll. What happens when she meets her Ken? -- Lubadub
