I first met Lani on the Sookie Tangler boards and was so glad when she joined many of the SVM fans over on Twitter. Talking with her about SVM is pretty cool because she really knows canon. It is her fav to read as you will find out in the the interview below. BUT before you go check out what she has to say about her confession ... Hi my name is LaniLani and I'm a SVM addict...

What was the first fanfiction story you read?

I can’t remember how I ended up reading Now That's What I Call An AfterParty by PleasantlyWeird as my first FF; this one was very shocking, with lots of ESN and I remember turning all shades of crimson while I read this late at night. Later I tried another story, Dead Man's Hand by PrincessStayPuff which I really, really loved, I was so amazed by the twist in this AH story.

What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?

I like canon stories the most, I avoided all AH stories in the beginning, but now not so much. I read the summary, the reviews it has so far (not the amount) and check the author’s profile, before I read a story.

Also, I’m not very patient so I probably wont read an incomplete story unless it updates fast, or it’s really really good, and then I’ll be sweating bullets waiting for the next update.

I loves lemons, but not smut stories, I used to, but I somehow lost interest in it lately. I need plot, and variety in lemons LOL, built up the passion, create sexual tension, and then smut. Perfect.

Eric is the owner of my heart, and so Sookie/Bill, Sookie/Sam, Sookie/Pam pairings are a No-No for me. Is either Eric/Sookie, or Eric by himself; but don’t portrait him as a big jerk or manipulative bastard.

Meg2’s latest series, which begins with Dead Wrong/Dead Certain, followed by Snapshots, Scenes from a Marriage 1 & 2, and The Darkest Hour and the final, Paradiso. See below for the links. It creates a believable HEA for Sookie and Eric, very in character, and amazing new personalities to die for. There’s a lot of Magic and historical facts into the mix, and great depth to their relationship and great adventures. Go read it!

... and that is Lani. I also like to think of Lani as my Canon SVM Addict because she is the SVM Addict that reminds me that not all of the good stories AH. I really love her for that because she balances out the crew for me. I've been doing this confession/recommend thing for a while and there are about three items I've noticed readers are choosy on: (1) Angst level and length, (2) The citrus, and (3) Vampire/canon/all human. Addicts like Lani remind me to continue to look for good Vampire/Canon fics to recommend. Thanks so much Lani for doing this for me and recommending some awesome vampire/canon fics!
