The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter post that give SVM fans information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - Latest on the Contests: SVM Contests are everywhere! Whether they are closing up or starting new make sure you know all about the latest. Visit the Contests and Challenges section to find out which contests are ending this week, voting details for the Age of Eric contest, and information on the other new contests.
- Life After Fanfiction.net: In a recent post, I reported how one of Lubadub's fics were pulled and that prompted her to start a new blog. Today I'm hear to report that she will not be updating on Fanfiction.net for a while to focus on writing and posting her stories exclusively at http://lubadub.wordpress.com/. She's not the first writer to move on, Malanna and Ericizmine are both now posting on their personal blogs. If you know of other writers who have moved on, contact me and I'll add them to my Fanfiction page.

- My SVM Addiction: Check out the most recent posts Confessions of a SVM Addict: Afalcone10, SVM Addicts Take on Pamela Ravenscroft, and Sookie is Dead: Favorite Fics Where Sookie Has Fangs.
- TheSookieverse.com: Check out the latest Under the Radar Fanfic Review for Oh No! Vampire Bill! by Miral. Other posts include the Latest True Blood Episode Review and a Birthday Wish for Alexander Skarsgard.
- The Sookieverse on LiveJournal: TheSookieverse @ LiveJournal community has launched and many writers are posting their stories to it. This community is a great example of how there are many other fanfiction writers that do not post at all of fanfiction.net. You should go see. You do not need to be a member of LJ to go over and check out these stories.

- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: August 29)Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "Turn someone we'd least expect." After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Club Dead Fanfiction Challenge (Deadline: End of True Blood Season 3)Challenge: Created by the SVM Addicts, the challenge is to create a one shot inspired by Club Dead or even True Blood season 3. It could be 'What If' or 'Behind the Scenes' or whatever you imagine takes you.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
