Of all the characters in the SVM and True Blood Universe, Pamela Ravenscroft is conveyed nearly the same in the books and show. I mean there are some discrepancies ... *ahem* like the last name change ... but for the most part, you can picture Pam on True Blood saying the same phrases in any of the books.
So for this post, we thought we'd do a play on Pam's quotes. We are highlighting how she's portrayed in fanfiction, in canon and on the show. In this post:

In this fic Pam is a precocious seven-year-old who figures out what's best for her Dad and Sookie before they even voice it to each other. Favorite Pam Quote: In the first chapter after meeting Sookie in her Dad's club she tells her: "Oh, and Sookie ... Don't hook up with my dad. I like you, but not that much." And then when telling Sookie about a new friend, Ginger, in her school she said, "This one's easily manipulated. She'll be my minion by the end of the first day. And by Fall Break, I'll have our entire class wrapped around my finger."
This fic is a behind closed doors look at Fangtasia. With Honeypop's sense of humor and dialog that leaves you in stitches, it's a fun look at all the Eric and Pam moments we never got to find out about or witness in the books. Favorite Pam Quote: While debating with Eric what the most annoying aspects of Bill Compton, Pam said: "Well personally I hate his over-the-top accent and exaggerated brooding, and the way he jingles his change in his pocket, to try to hide the fact he is touching himself. Oh, and the way he makes a little noise of appreciation and cocks his head to one side when he sips on his TruBlood, like it's really tasty and doesn't actually taste like ass."
Part of Meg2's Dead Series, in this story Sookie is gearing up for a post FDTW Vegas trip and she's invited Pam for some advice on what to buy. In this series, like most of Meg2's series, her characters are sharp and full of wit. Pam is no exception. Favorite Pam Quote: "I am having fun, Sookie. I'm not having to deal with legions of mindless idiot fangbangers. I'm looking at clothes I like, that are not work related. This is fun." I made sure to say it all in a monotone to maximize the effect.

Pam’s Take on Things is the fifth story in Suki59’s vampire series that follows Book 8. Pam tells us what it was like when Eric first released her and then she jumps forward in time to describe Eric’s relationship with Sookie from her perspective. Favorite Pam Quote: "I watched him as he looked at her … and I thought, my god, he loves her. This may be the end of him."

Pam in the The Expert series created by Seastarr08 (includes The Amateur and The Expert) is a free-spirited diva in the fashion world. Jet setting all over the world, she still finds time to stop in to visit her big brother in New York and, of course, change her Christian Louboutins. While she's in all three fics for this series, this story features a series of outtakes that offer more glimpses into her world. Favorite Pam Quote: In this chapter Pam takes Eric and Sookie's son, Max, out with her to a fashion event. "'Aunt Pammy? Where are we going?' I looked down at the little person attached to my hand. Why would I ever need one of my own, when I could borrow one this awesome, whenever I wanted."
» Significant Other by Lint
This one-shot is in Pam's POV through the centuries. This is an interesting take on Pam's feelings for Eric from the moment they meet until Sookie disturbs their happy home. The author seems to have made their interactions more sexual and romantic but it serves the purpose of the ending in explaining why Pam feels the way she does. Favorite Pam Quote: (it’s not dialogue but there isn’t much in this fic) "Nearly two hundred years together, all they have been through, what was the point in severing their companionship?"

The Deep is a short and extremely beautifully written one-shot in which Pam talks about Sookie’s funeral following their car accident. We see just how much Eric and Pam both love her as well as get a tiny peek at Pam’s relationship with her maker. Favorite Pam Quote: "And then the light left her eyes. Bloodied salt water left mine."
» The Infinite Series (Dead Tired and Dead Sexy) by Ericizmine
Pam is a major part of this series as she becomes part of the family in a big way. She, along with Sookie, Eric, and Alcide, work together against all the obstacles put in their way as they try to love and protect their special family. Favorite Pam Quote: "Alcide growled, 'Damn it! How did you get so enlightened?' Pam grinned. 'Dear Abby. Can we go fuck now?'"

Eric is Sookie’s best friend and on Valentine's Day she is, once again, left to her own devices when her boyfriend chooses work over his personal life. Eric takes this opportunity to confess his true feelings for her and after that a whole sorry series of events unfolds. Pam isn’t a main character in this but the parts she is in are very memorable. Favorite Pam Quote: "I know you feel you owe Count Douchula an explanation, but keep it short and sweet."

Why She's On Team Eric
Team Eric or Team Bill ... which one will Sookie pick? Whether it's the books, True Blood, and even in fanfiction; the battle rages on. We all debate about which vampire is the best for Sookie. Alan Ball and Anne Rice seem to be Team Bill. Some think otherwise ...
The Addicts decided to ask Pam, which team she's on. So in the style of David Letterman's Top 10, here is Pam's Top 10 Reasons Why She's Team Eric. When reading this, picture it in your best Pam voice.
Lest we part on too lovey-dovey a note, I said, “Eric, when I’m back to being myself, I’m going to nail your ass for putting me in this position of being pledged to you.”
