The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter post that give SVM fans information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. - Design SVMFanfic Next Avi: One of the services provided by this blog is the @SVMFanfic, a twitter account that I send tweets on fanfiction stories and their updates. You can also get posting information from fanfic affiliate sites as well. Well, thanks to Southerlady23 for the first avi design (the one displayed here) and an idea buzz. The great idea is to have a fanfic fan design a new avi each month. So, if you want to design the October avi for the @SVMFanfic, just let me know.
- Latest on the Contests: Today is the end of the submission period for the Seven Deadly Sins Contest. There are currently 6 entries in the contest, will you be the deadly number 7? You have until 11:59pm on September 1 to send in your entry. Visit the Contests and Challenges section to find out more about the contests that are currently running this week. Including info on the Public Vote winners for the Age of Eric Contest.

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: September 5)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "A guy knows he's in love when he loses interest in his car for a couple of days. (author unknown)" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Club Dead Fanfiction Challenge
(Deadline: End of True Blood Season 3)
Challenge: Created by the SVM Addicts, the challenge is to create a one shot inspired by Club Dead or even True Blood season 3. It could be 'What If' or 'Behind the Scenes' or whatever you imagine takes you.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.

The Maid of the Moor by BathshebaRocks
New Fic > I was inspired by the 'Age of Eric' contest to write a historical fiction in the fine tradition of the English bodice ripper. This story is set in the early years of the eighteenth century and features all the romantic staples: smugglers, wreckers and pirates to name a few.
Susanna Stackhouse lives with her grandmother in a small town on Dartmoor in the west of England. A chance encounter with the eldest son of the county's most notorious family transforms her safe and simple life with unexpected consequences.
