The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter for SVM fans on information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - First Blood Contest Update: The First Blood Contest submission period comes to a close tonight. There is still time to get your story in so click here for details. The ladies who host this contest worked really hard to create it, so please help show your support.
- Contests in Voting Stage:
>>Kiss a Cook Contest: The public poll is open. Here are the top selection by judges for you to pick from: Baby's Got Sauce, New Vines, Tangerine, The Miracle Man, and Windows on the World. To vote for your favorite, click here.
>>Original Fiction Contest on My Vamp Fiction: One of my affiliate fanfiction archive sites hosted an Original Fiction Contest this past month. The top prize for this contest is a Kindle. The fics are now up on the site and open for public vote. I don't know which, but I have on good authority that at least one SVM writer entered the contest. So please take some time and check out the stories and vote for your favorite. Voting ends on October 30th.

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: October 17)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither one works. — Will Rogers" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- When Human Meets Fangs (Deadline: November 27th)
Challenge: Area Five (a new fanfiction archive site) host their first challenge. They want stories of humans/non vampires meeting a vampire for the first time. It is not limited to just Sookie.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
