- Halloween in Bon Temps: Last year, Zigster and Yogagal decided to have a little fun and launched the Eric and His Great Pumpkin Contest. With 45 contest entries and even more fics that were not entered, this contest helped inspire a flurry of stories that take place on or around Halloween.
So for this month's recommendation post, we are looking for your favorite Halloween fics. Ones which take place on or around Halloween. They could be your favorite entries from the Eric and His GP contest, but it is not required to be on this list. Click here to read more and recommend your favorite Halloween Fics.

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: October 17)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither one works. — Will Rogers" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- When Human Meets Fangs (Deadline: November 27th)
Challenge: Area Five (a new fanfiction archive site) host their first challenge. They want stories of humans/non vampires meeting a vampire for the first time. It is not limited to just Sookie.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
