The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter for SVM fans on information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - Halloween in Bon Temps: Looking for your favorite Halloween fics this month. That means ones which take place on or around Halloween. They could be your favorite entries from the Eric and His GP contest, or any other stories. They do not have to have been a part of last year's contest. - Latest Contest Updates: The SVM fandom has been pretty busy with contest so here's a run down of what's going on right now! Please check out the entries for each contest.

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: October 17)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither one works. — Will Rogers" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- When Human Meets Fangs (Deadline: November 27th)
Challenge: Area Five (a new fanfiction archive site) host their first challenge. They want stories of humans/non vampires meeting a vampire for the first time. It is not limited to just Sookie.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.

With giveaways you don't have to write or compete for anything. Just enter you name for a chance to win a wonderful prize!
