- True~blood~Lust Reader Group: A couple weeks ago I mentioned this reading group. Well it has started and meets daily to discuss the stories listed on the calendar. If you are interested and have questions about the reading group, click here and get in touch with Fairyblood.
- Fang Readers Community: OK .. I have to confess that I am a Live Journal newbie and have NO idea how communities work. I am a member of several but I don't necessarily know what to do with them except .. well read what's on the page. Anyhoo ... there's a new community on Live Journal called Fang Readers Community. Unlike, the Sookieverse on LJ, this community is for writers AND readers. So if you get the communities and this is something you are looking for then check it out.
- Original Fiction Contest: MyVampFiction's second original fiction contest, Eternal Romance, entry submission is close to ending. It ends on January 31st, so if you are thinking of giving this one a try or close to completing your entry, click here to get the deets on where to submit your entry and find out about the great prizes! Also, be sure to check out the Contests and Challenges section for more on all contests happening in the SVM World.

News: Write a story that doesn't end with a happy ending. Submission period ends on February 14th.

News: Write a story that is different from the rest. And by different, we mean it follows a different story line or portrays the SVM characters differently from the status quo -- the common themes in SVM fanfiction repertoire. Submission period ends on February 25th.
- Valentine's Fae Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a fairy tale story with Eric and Sookie. Submission period extended to February 25th. Looking for ideas? Try Children Myths and Fairy tales from around the world, or you can just type "fairy tales" in the title search and more books will pop up in Project Gutenberg.
- Home Sweet Home Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a story about any or all of the SVM characters and put them in a place in which you’ve lived. Submission period hasn't started. It begins on February 15th.

My fanfiction affiliate MyVampFiction.com (Love these gals!) are doing another Original Fiction contest. The challenge is to write an original erotica story (not PWP) that has a paranormal element. Submission period ends on January 31st. There are some great prizes, so check it out!

Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. –Martin Luther King, Jr." After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
