Always For You by MakesMyHeadSpin
When this story popped over into the AH community list, i was intrigued to check it out. I was hooked after the first chapter (was actually late for work because i kept on reading). I love the feeling of innocence of the characters and they just draw me along. I fell for this story so much i have started reading all of makemyheadspin's stories. -- lilabitblf
I'm not entirely caught up on it yet, but I'm so in love with this story. In it, Sookie and Eric became pen pals through a class project when they were 8. He lives in Sweden. They keep sending letters, and eventually communicate through phone calls and video chatting as well. When they turn 18, Eric comes to the states to visit his aunt, and gets to go to Louisiana to meet Sookie for the first time.
I love the relationship between these two. They've basically known each other for 10 years and consider the other their best friend. As soon as they meet it's apparent how much they love each other, and the author doesn't beat around the bush with getting them together(I'm not talkin' about sex); it happens almost immediately.
So now that these two have finally come together, they have to face the fact that Eric has to go back to Sweden eventually, and they will be separated.
I just love the realness, if that's even a word, of this story. This is one of those situations that could actually happen, and the consequences of falling in love with someone you know you will be separated from are there. It's just a well-told story, and I love it.
Jeez, was I long-winded enough. Shutting up now. -- LindsayK
Call me Irresponsible by Lubadub (Night Huntress Series)
Why I like this story? Because it's damn time someone wrote an AH NightHuntress fic, that's why! And the fact that it's written by Lubadub who has an amazing talent on delivering stories with great smut AND plot, doesn't hurt either. -- svmaddict
Cheap Sunglasses by YouBettaGo
This fic ... ohmagod, it was published like last week and I've already read it five times. For those of you who read pixiegiggles' "The F Stop" this is kinda a companion story ... kind of. There's a chapter in the F Stop where Amelia (Sookie's friend, as always) ends up chatting with Ray (Eric Northman's actor friend in the Generation Kill-like RECON show) and there's a connection. Now, in both this FF and the F Stop, Ray is pretty much the character from GK that we all know and love, but in actor form. And lemme tell ya, his POV is freakin' hilarious. It made me want a Ray Ray of my own. But I'll have to be content with re-reading this over and over. Not that that's too hard :D -- afalcone10
Dead and back again by JoxX
JoxX hasn't completed this yet but it's worth a read and a put on alert. The first few chapters are quite heartbreaking but when the action starts it just speeds on like a freight train. Sookie kicks ass, Eric is ... Eric, Bill is slightly creepy but nice and Pam is, at times, her protective best. Lot's of interesting OC's without taking the spotlight from the mains. Summary reads: Set After DAG... join Sookie on her latest adventure, Bonds, Vikings,Ex lovers, Fairy odd puberty, Dear Abby and Sookie mark 2... how could she not fail to heal from her recent traumas? -- Janofarc
Good Vibrations by VampAngel79
Vamp Angel 79 brings you this one shot that more than satisfies, I won't spoil the story but it's Eric and Sookie, vamp and human, and the title gives you a little clue about what Eric is introducing Sookie to now...:)
Be warned, it's adult and it's lemontastic...but if you are in the mood for that, have at it I say :) -- Alison at Northman Maille
Not Without You by JoxX
A quirky one-shot by JoxX where Sookie goes back in time to when Bill first walked into Merlotte's so she can right some wrongs. There's not much of the plot I can mention after that without giving away too much but it tickled my funny bone quite a few times. -- Janofarc
Shades of Dawn by AshleySue
I'm a music junkie. I work at a record store. I have over 7,000 songs in my iTunes library. So of course I'm attracted to any AH band ffs. This one is NO exception. And the image of Eric Northman as a musician is almost too much for me, squeeing-wise. This story is great at giving an intricate behind-the-scenes vibe for the band, Shades of Dawn. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride, always full of surprises. And the last chapter? Oh my gosh. GO READ THIS PEOPLE. -- afalcone10
The Bitch & the Hellcat by Zigster
I mentioned this fic in my confession but it deserves mentioning more often. It is one of my favorite of two favorites and the only one not complete. It is by the amazing Zigster. I read it pretty much every week, sometimes more often for at least 6 months now. Why? Well, I love it so much. It grabs me emotionally on many levels. I like the feel of the characters of Sookie and Eric, the awkwardness and anger and hormones that teenagers have. But also the way they come to care about one another. Eric tries so hard, but she is making him crazy. LMAO. Of course, the brothers are too much fun. There is so much more I want to know in this story and it holds my attention constantly. Oh, and just for you Ali, Bill is a douche here, too. -- Northwoman
The Souvenir by Elbly
Okay so I am a little biased because I beta this story by Elbly, but all that says is that I realise what a great story teller she us and I know what comes next is going to be great he he.
The story? Oh yes, it's AH and Sookie is travelling around Britain in the company of someone called Lafayette, a fellow American, he takes her to stay at a farm in a mysterious small Welsh village, something is happening but I don't know what...what I do know is that a certain tall, blonde shepherd has something interesting in store for our tourist...
oh and Bill's a douche, always good to know... -- Alison at Northman Maille
This AH fic from fellow Brit Elbly is charming and (at the moment) mysterious. It has Sookie going off to England on a trip and meeting Lafayette on the plane ride there. Every character seems to be up to something and I'm on tenterhooks waiting for updates so I can find out what on earth the deal is!!! Oh and Shepherd Eric - nuff said. -- Janofarc
The Velveteen Mother by Krismom (Twilight)
First of all it's Krismom. Anything by Krismom I can recommend without even reading first. It's guaranteed to be good. This story is complete, and not a long one (only 6 or 7 chapters if I'm not mistaken) but just like she did in her first story which was a one-shot, Krismom delivers here, yet again, a beautiful fic, smart and touching. The best part about her writing is that she combines brain-smart and emotion-smart in her stories; everything she does is pure wisdom. And pure awesome.
Here, in this AH twific (yeah, second week in a row that I recommend a twific, I know), Esme decides that she needs to intervene in her sons lives. At first you'll find her frustrating and just WISH for the sanity of those men that she'll leave them alone soon and go back to her life. By the time you finish reading though, you'll feel like calling your mom and tell her that you love her. Or just drive to her house and cuddle in bed with her like you did when you were 4. -- svmaddict
Twoo Wuv: A Bloody Fairytale by Pixiegiggles
This story had me laughing so hard when I read it. It's The Princess Bride meets True Blood. And I saw some of Shrek in there too but maybe it was just me. Seeing Bill in the role of the Evil Prince (Count Balls mwa ha) who wants to take the Princess from her beloved is hilarious!
It's a must read for anyone who's watched The Princess Bride. Guaranteed laughter. -- svmaddict
Vampire Recovery by Bloodsuker815
Bloodsucker815 hasn't updated this in a little while and I really hope she does, nudge, nudge, hint, hint.
Little did Eric know when he invested in a clinic for vampires that have been drained or otherwise injured that he would end up as a patient! Luckily his nurse, one Sookie Stackhouse, is very good at her job, until she falls in love with the patient. What will she do when she finds out it was someone she knows and cares about that drained Eric? -- Alison at Northman Maille
When in Rhodes by TriciaRo
This is one of my favorite canon stories that changes things up. Eric is very sweet to Sookie in this story, but also the smart, sexy, badass that I love. Quinn is looked at more kindly by Sookie, but not by me. I can't help myself - Bill is a douche again. Anyway, the story starts before the conference in Rhodes, but Eric works to get his memories back of his time with Sookie before Rhodes. He does & together they change what happens in Rhodes. The author is updating more often now, which excites me. -- Northwoman
Where I am by Nyah
A support Stacie Auction fic by Nyah for NYC Snowbird, this is what Nyah says was her brief 'She asked me to examine Sookie and Eric's bonding through Eric's eyes and then she gave me free rein.'
Good idea huh? Our Viking finds himself across the table from an FBI behavioural expert, the Bureau are investigating the disappearance of Sookie Stackhouse. A brilliant look into how the vampire views the bond. The FBI agent is brilliantly written. Great story for a great cause. -- Alison at Northman Maille
