FFn Tech News:  Because my Twitter account is linked to Fanfiction.net, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I believe that the site is experiencing some problems.  Not only do I see alert (to my inbox) and feed discrepancies .. but the site is also having problems with traffic count. I suspect they've refreshed their server and trying to get everything back online or something.  So ... that's sort of what's going on there.

Also, for those who post their stories on Fandomfiction.com and found out that the site was down.  I got word fro Pixiegiggles that the site is back up.  She's on vacay right now so the site may be a little wonky for a couple more days but it will be back and fully operational when she gets back.  (This also means that the True Blood Viewing Party Room should be back by the 11th.)

Fic Spoilers

•  Pimp time ... Lubadub, my Countess of Kink, has teamed up with Seastarr08 to create Lubstarr. They have teamed up before to write stories before, and now they have a profile to go with it.  They are currently working on a new story that will chronicle the history of Eric and Pam, appropriately called Eric and Pam's Excellent Adventure .  Here's a couple of teases that Lubadub sent me tease 1 and tease 2. There were a couple others I think, but these were the two I received. Maybe if you coax Lubstarr you can get more.
  
  There's a part two to Eric and Pam's Excellent Adventure, Lubadub and Seastarr08 are also looking for writers who would like to contribute chapters to the story.  If you are interested, contact them.

• The Countess of Kink, Lubadub is writing! Aaaaand .. it's SVM!  Check out this tease for Dixie ... yup, as in Danger in Dixie, the sequel to Danger is a Dame. Both in the Danger Series. She said Author Eric just started talking to her. But wait folks ... there's more!  Thanks to an inspiring Tumblr account sent around last night ... Pilot E popped up too.  So when I checked in with her last night, she wrote 3 pages of lemons and plotted out the next chapter for Terminal Attraction.

• In a follow-up post to a dark fic that schafer is writing, she gave me the go ahead to spill more.  So brace yourself folks ... she's writing an Evil Eric.  Angst lovers, I'm thinking this one is for you. Those who prefer Saint Eric, Goody Sookie, and HEA's .. you've been warned.  I'll have more on this story, She Wished For Death, in my next post.

• Up first, is a tease from LindsayK for Never Say Never. A little music and dancing in the kitchen. *le sigh* Linds posted this update late last night ... so get ta' readin'!

• Now, last night I had an interesting conversation with @danu_schafer and found out that she's schafer of Good Girls & Bad Boys and 28 Days Later. Well she told me that she's working on something new, and while I haven't gotten a go ahead to share ... let's just say that it's obsessively dark and sounds very interesting.

•  OK .. one more tease from the dark/angsty fic side, I know many of you are following Healing Blood so here's a tease from Bellawriter7.

• Now .. let me lighten the Fic Spoiler section up a bit. Do you recall a couple of weeks ago when I was excited about a little ditty from Youbetta that involved a character we were calling "Whore Eric"? Well she finished and posted the first chapter and the story is called In for a Penny, Down for a Pounding.  A virtual citrus orchard! For those of us wanting chapter two, we have to wait a bit. YBG said that she needs to update Five Alarm and Saved by the Bus first.

Bonds by FarDareisMai2. I had just finished reading books 1-9 for the third time and was interested in finding out more about Quinn. I know, I know, but I was wondering if there was more to the story. After all, Sookie did have sex with him! She didn't even have sex with Alcide and she spent way more time with him. Anyway, since Charlaine Harris has written some short stories I thought that maybe she wrote one about Quinn, kind of like the Hadley/Waldo story. When I googled 'Sookie and Quinn' I found fanfiction. The first site I found was the True Blood Wiki site. Under fanfiction I found the oh-so-intriguing category of Vampwich. I followed FarDareisMai2 over to ff.net and have been reading voraciously ever since.

Twitter Feed Update: In the first Top 30 at 30 post, I revealed how the twitter account @SVMFanFic account had some issues when sending automatically tweets for updates to mulit-chapter fics. Well, with help from Ysar, I believe the problem has been resolved. As long as fanfiction is updating their feed, you will see more tweets and more stories coming from that account soon.

True Blood/SVM Role Players: Last night, I enjoyed the TrueBlood on Twitter show and look forward to next Wednesday when they perform another scene.

Tonight is the Drop of True Blood Thursday. This group includes @SookieBonTemps, who is a popular Sookie on Twitter. Their show starts at 9PM ET / 8PM CT. Here's a guide to how to view the show since it will not play out on Twitter like the other one. AND if you are a role player or know of any ... this group is inviting you to join in the fun. Club Dead Fanfiction Challenge

This challenge was originally posted in the SVM Addicts Take On: Club Dead and True Blood Season 3 post. Created by the SVM Addicts. The challenge is simple--before the end of True Blood Season 3--create a one-shot inspired by the show or by Club Dead which is where this season sort of begins.

True Blood/SVM Role Players: Another form fanfiction, the role players, or RP, on Twitter has something ideas in store for fans. In particular, two groups of the Twitter role players will be producing storylines this week.

• The first group, I'll mention is starting TrueBlood on Twitter and will play out "Blood Bites" tonight at 10PM ET / 9PM CT.  Every week people will vote on www.sookiebt.com for which scenes they want to see. This week "Pam/Lafayette: V Sales" and "Eric/Queen/Magister: Hell Hath No Fury" was chosen.  You don't have to be on Twitter or follow any of the player to watch it unfold. Here's links to the Twitter and Mixtweet list to follow.

• The second group is producing Drop of True Blood Thursday. This group includes @SookieBonTemps, who is a popular Sookie on Twitter. Their show starts at 9PM ET / 8PM CT. Their storyline will be original and stem from a scene that happened on the show. For example, it could be Bill being shoved into the car by the Fuck You Crew and speeding into the night. From reading SookieBonTemps blog this looks like it will be interactive and it sounds like it will be a lot of fun. So in a Twitter convo, she mentioned that a little KBos appearance during the True Blood premiere inspired 2 chapters! So we are going to get more Actor Eric soon. The epilogue will take place 3 years in the future for Eric and Sookie and ... she gave me a major angst alert for the next chapter! Dunh dunh dunh dunnnnnnnnnnh!!

• Score! A Healing Blood tease ... this is one of the few current on-going Post Dead and Gone fics that was recently inducted into the 1,000 Year Old Viking Club.  Bellawriter7 sent this to Lubadub who intercepted and passed it, fleaflicker-style (for those football fans), to me.  Click here for the fic-tickle.

• For all you Night Huntress Series fans, Lubadub has started a new series. It will be the first AH story on Fanfiction.net for this group.  The story started off as a one shot PWP is now a full fledged story, chock full of plot bunnies.  The title is Call Me Irresponsible and here's a couple of teases so that you can get an idea of what is in store: chapter 1 and chapter 2. Check it out!!

Daily Fanfiction Updates 6/7 - Part 1

I had the most fantastic time this past weekend! I got to meet up with Smfogleman again as she hosted a Generation Kill marathon that included myself and A-Redhead-Thing (also a SVM Addict).  These ladies are fabulous!  A-Redhead-Thing schooled us in GK, I'm a big Ray-Ray and Iceman fan now by the way. "Dress Blues with a Sword!"

So because of this wonderful weekend, I'm a bit fail on the Daily Updates.  My apologies to the writers and readers who were looking out for something. I hoped I was missed (even if it was for a second) because now I'm back.  And now I have all these catchy phrases to use. GET SOME! 

Part one are the updates I accumulated over the weekend ... oh and I'm also posting last week's Fanfictastic Friday right after this. Tonight's post will be part 2 and include a summary of today's Teasers.  So stay tuned .. a lot is coming up.

If you haven't noticed by now, My SVM Addiction has a specific focus.  This blog is meant to be about fanfiction stories that writers create. Focusing on recommendations from readers and story topics of the fics that fans enjoy.  In doing this, many readers get end up finding new stories to read that they didn't know existed.

Because of this, I don't necessarily get into the author interview arena. I do have SVM Confessions which is really a fanfiction fan interview. For author interviews, I suggest you check out a blog by SmittensKittens called Interviews of Fanfiction Writers.  I do not know if the focus will be always on SVM writers but so far she's interviewed Lubadub, Greenlemons, and Missus T. Check it out!

Reminder: Today is Fanfictastic Friday, so if you want to shout out your favorite fic, get your recommendations in.

• OMG ... I got a good one yesterday. So Youbettago ... of Sookie Sees a Swede, Five Alarm, ooh Hard Sell and most recently a crossover that involves Amelia and GK's Ray Ray called Cheap Sunglasses ... announced on Twitter that she is writing a brothel one-shot that involves "Whore Eric."  And then proceeded to give us snippets like this and this. UNF! And when describing this yet to be titled Eric's GP she said this ... three fig leaves. I am really looking forward to this one.  Sounds like this Eric may go in the list of Infamous GPs.

• Evenflo78 is writing some Jason/Lafayette slash for an outtake for Couples Therapy. She said there will be some some funny in there, but its mostly "HOT." And it's told from Lafayette.  This sounds like a Two Wrongs Challenge fic and I can't wait to read it.

• Last night, I happened to glance on Twitter and I saw that LindsayK tweeted a tease for a future Never Say Never chapter.  This happy is way down the line so don't get excited (because it's full of loads of cuteness) ... I don't think this will be in the next chapter. That said ... I happily read the future tease with all smiles! Click here, if you want to see the happy future awaiting this two-some.

Last night I got to meet Smfogleman (The Pact, A Royal Engagement) when we attended the True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience.  We had a great time, unf'ing and umm'ing every time one of the sexy fellas of True Blood took up the big screen. It was soo exciting to meet one of my Twitter friends and she is as fun as she is on Twitter! We took one of those red carpet pictures and as soon as it is available I will post it.

Another highlight, I want to mention is that during the Q&A with Michael Ausiello , our tvgirl.nicole's question that turned out to be the first one he asked!! The. First. One. Check out the entire Q&A here. Her question is in the first part and around 5:24.

And after it was all over, HBO released the last minisode.  For those who hadn't seen it, click here. It features Jason.

Four Star General Ranked Fics

This past weekend the folks in the US observed Memorial Day. As I was re-reading a couple of my favorite SVM fics that involved soldiers during war-time, I realized that the Sookieverse actually possess several fics that are set during major wars or involve soldiers.  Whether intentional or not, many writers either educated the reader or shed light on soldier life through their fanfiction story.

So I asked my blog readers, fanfiction fans on Twitter, and the gals on the Sookieverse to recommend some of their favorite war-time fics.  Here are the 10 fics that I've called the "Four Star Ranked Fics" that the fans dubbed noteworthy to mention. I've also included each recommendation that I've received for the 10 stories. Enjoy!
