The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter for SVM fans on information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - Fanfictastic Fridays: I'm going to try something new with this post starting next week. I want to start getting entries ahead of time so that the post will actually happen on Friday. So starting this week you have until Thursday afternoon to submit your recs for the next post. If you don't make it, no worries, your rec will be included in the next week's batch. Tomorrow's post will be recommendations that I've accumulated while the post was on hiatus. So get your recs in now to be included in next Friday's post, click here.

- Stephanie's Fanfic Contest: Click here for details (on EricNorthman.net)
Details: Write a fic with the topic of "In ____'s World…" If it was your story and you could make it anything you wanted it to be, what would you do? Would the Cullens be in Bon Temps? Would Lestat be a regular at Fangtasia? Just think of the most creative and fun story! Contest ends on December 4th and there isn't a word limit.

News: Newbie writer contest. Seven entries. Submission deadline extended to December 12th. Go to TheSookieverse.com for official news and if you are know of newbies thinking of writing, encourage them to enter. It's fun!
- Valentine's Fae Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a fairy tale story with Eric and Sookie. Submission period is December 6th to January 21, 2011.

- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: December 5)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for. --John Shedd" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
