"This is an absolutely wonderful fic. Heartrending in a real heartrending way, so sad. The question is would you still love Eric if he was a zombie?" -- peppermintyrose
"I don't know how to categorize this story. It's AH ... because of the characters. Well, Sookie is not a fairy, and Eric and Bill are not vampires. BUT Eric isn't human at least not what's left of him. In this story, Eric is a Zombie. And WAIT, don't stop reading right there. You have to give this story a try. Zombie movies scare me, but I still watch them ... during the day and with all lights on.
Jillian K's story is beautifully written and is not at all the fright fest we are used to when we think of Zombies. This story IS a Sookie/Eric pairing and it's catagorized under 'romance' and 'angst' .. yes -- romance! She blames a book called Hungry for Your Love: An Anthology of Zombie Romance for the inspiration of this fic. It's only 3 chapters in so far, and I'm recommending it because I'm already fascinated. Give it a try and see what you think." -- Sapfirerose
"Pam rescues Sookie from the Ratrays and delivers her to Sherrif Northman at Fangtasia, what is she and why does the Queen want her so much? A very dark and deliciously twisted tale that's finally found a home on LiveJournal."
"'Head Full of Doubt' or HFOD as Scribeninja refers to it, takes the SVM Characters and some ideas from the storyline and places them in the AH world. There are no supes (absolutely nada) and Sookie is still telepathic and she can hear just about everyone. Just about. So .. the basic story line is that Sookie works in a bar and is telepathic but she doesn't want to be there forever. She wants to be a journalist and feels the only way she can break into the field is by covering a big story. Eric is a small business owner of a schtick bar in Shreveport that is capitalizing on the vampire craze that has swept the nation. The big draw to the bar is himself ... he pretends to be a vampire. And he takes it pretty far to keep the patrons guessing and folks talking. Will this ""vampire"" Eric be Sookie's big break to print media?
What I like about this story is how Scribeninja takes elements from the books and adds a twist so that it's not just an AH version of the books. Although, that isn't a bad idea either. HFOD is listed as a drama/romance but I also think that it has a bit of a mystery as well. If you like elements of surprise and mystery in the stories you read, you should give this one a try." -- Sapfirerose
"A hilarious romantic comedy starring Eric and Sookie. In the past, Sookie's cousin Hadley and her husband Alcide (Eric's best friend) have tried before to hook Eric and Sookie up, only for it to end up disaster. When they unfortunately die in a car accident, and leave their daughter left to be raised by the pair, Eric and Sookie are forced to come together to make a family for the baby. Will it work, or will they end up waring in the house? Only time will tell.
This is an ongoing story with ChanelAddict posting chapter 14 this week. I haven't stopped laughing and loving this story since chapter 1. If you are looking for something light and funny to read over the holidays, then I suggest you start this one." -- Sapfirerose
"This story is a hilarious continuation of the troublesome pixies in the fae realm taking refuge in the human world - namely Sookie's property. Apart from all the vampire drama, there's also pixies to contend with.
If you love Terry Pratchett's Nac mac Feegle, you will adore these pixies. " -- peppermintyrose
"I know. I know. Eric and Sookie centric fandom. But have you ever wanted to read about Bill and Judith's backstory? It's just as sad as any angst that you can find in the E/S story. Judith seemed like a nice vampire didn't she? Come and fear for her and her subsequent turning.
Demeter has sympathy for her characters without apology for their actions. I promise, you'll like it. " -- peppermintyrose
» True Blood and Zombies by Darkglare (True Blood)
"Speaking of Zombies .. you prefer the scary kind of Zombies instead of anything with romance? Well I found this story over in the True Blood category that has the usually brand of Zombie we are used too. Braaaaaaaains!
This story takes place in Season 2 at the Fellowship of the Sun church. Godric, Eric, Sookie and the gang are arguing with a paintball-pelted Steve Newlin, when Gabe walks into the room and heads directly for humans. So far there's only 3 chapters, and I found the first chapter hilarious. This writer captured Steve well. There's also an interesting take on how vampires would deal with zombies. So if you are looking for a vampire-zombie fic, check out this one. " -- Sapfirerose
"When I read My Universe's entry for the I Write the Songs Contest entry Bring Me to Life, I knew this was an author I would want to read more of, and When Vampire Met Fairy is definitely not a disappointment. In this alternate universe, Sookie was raised by Niall and has more fairy power (and more of that spunky sass). Now she needs to make an alliance with Eric. Sparks fly during their first meeting and their relationship promises to be full of chemistry and adventure. After just three chapters, I'm hooked." -- moxiemo (@moxiemollymo)
