Hi my name is Math Princess and I'm a SVM addict ...
What was your first fanfiction story?
I was reading for so long before I finally signed up for a user name on FF.net, but I know that the first story that I marked as a favorite was Pour Some Sugar On Me by BonTempsBaby. I love how the story progresses and how the characters evolve. BTB does a great job telling the story from both perspectives, which was definitely intriguing to me after reading SVM totally from Sookie's POV. It's quite fun being in Eric's head, as it turns out :-)What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?
I love stories with witty dialogue that make me laugh, and I'm not opposed to some angst. I usually only read Eric/Sookie stories since I'm *way* Team Eric... I don't know many who aren't! And of course, I like lemony goodness as much as the next gal! :-) I started out by reading only canon, but then gradually branched out into AU/AH and now I read just about anything that sounds interesting!Name ten fics (SVM, TB or other) you are reading right now.
- Addicted to Love by BonTempsBaby
- Danger in Dixie by Lubadub
- Halo Effect by Missus T
- Healing Blood by BellaWriter7
- The Bitch and the Hellcat by Zigster
- Life Imitating Art by pfloogs72
- Bored to Death by ericizmine
- Better Man by seastarr08
- House of Flesh on Fire by FarDareisMai2
- Sookie Stackhouse's Facebook Feed by Suki59
Recommend one fic and tell us why you like it.
It's so hard to pick just one to talk about! I think if I had to pick an overall favorite right this minute, it would probably be Dead to Her World by pixiegiggles... It takes place a few months after Dead and Gone (and without Dead in the Family) and turns the main idea of my favorite SVM novel, Dead to the World, onto Sookie - hence the catchy title. Basically, a few months after she has rejected him in the pursuit of a life without Supes, Eric finds Sookie running barefoot in the dark toward his home without her memory. So, as she graciously did with him, he takes her in and tries to get to the bottom of it... it can't be Hallow - she's long gone, so who? And why? Also, the story is told mainly from Eric's perspective (incredibly well, I might add), which I always find intriguing.--------------------------------------------------------
... The SVM Addicts are a group of SVM fans who bravely confessed their fanfiction addiction to this blog to help tell a story about the great fanfiction we have in SVM World. You can find most of the addicts (about 22 of them) confessions posted here.
The SVM Addicts group have turned into a little team who have helped to produce popular articles like SVM Addicts Take On: Alcide Herveaux and SVM Addicts Take On: Pamela Ravenscroft.
In the next couple of weeks I'll be publishing the last confessions I have. Going forward, I will be asking active SVM Fanfic readers if they would like to confess, instead of taking volunteers. I'm looking for folks who don't mind promoting others. And also would like to help produce more collaboration posts in the new year.
