Hi my name is Janofarc and I'm a SVM addict ...
What was your first fanfiction story?
I think it was Let Love In by Terri Botta, it’s the first I remember reading whether it actually was or whether it was just I hadn’t read anything as memorable before it. My memory sucks since I had the kids. What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?
I like my Sookie/Eric fics but I’m more than willing to branch out if the story is good enough unless the suitor is Bill, sorry but canon Bill isn’t suited to Sookie at all and there’s nothing anyone can say to make me think differently. I love it when something is a little out of the ordinary, there are a lot of ideas that have been a bit overdone which is why I turned to All Human stories after a while. When someone goes back to a single point in one of the books and ‘what if’s’ just by changing one line of dialogue I find it so interesting that just changing that one little thing could have such an amazing impact. Humour is another big draw for me, angst isn’t something I look for in a fic but again if the story is compelling I’ll read it even if I can’t see properly from the tears (Of course this is dependant on the time of the month and whether I’m wearing my ‘fat’ clothes).Name ten fics (SVM, TB or other) you are reading right now.
- Better Man by SeaStarr08 (SVM)
- Not From Here by Roux Roux (TB)
- Surprise! By TMSescritura (SVM)
- The Souvenir by Elbly (SVM)
- Halo Effect by Missus T (SVM)
- Dead without a work permit by Thyra10 (SVM)
- Light The Way by Penelope Planes (SVM)
- Return of the Stackhouse Six by Miral (SVM)
- Dead to My World by Afalcone10 (SVM)
- Flax Blvd by SibylVane_Vamp (SVM)
Recommend one fic and tell us why you like it.
Adopt A Vampire by Worthfighting4It’s hilarious. It starts with Sookie saying something she probably never thought she would say, which is funny in itself, but even when things look bad there’s still humour to be found. This is one of my ‘go to’ fics when I want to be cheered up. Even if I’ve had the most stressful day, I always feel better after dipping my toes into the Sookie/Eric prank war.

... The SVM Addicts are a group of SVM fans who bravely confessed their fanfiction addiction to this blog to help tell a story about the great fanfiction we have in SVM World. You can find most of the addicts (about 22 of them) confessions posted here.
The SVM Addicts group have turned into a little team who have helped to produce popular articles like SVM Addicts Take On: Alcide Herveaux and SVM Addicts Take On: Pamela Ravenscroft.
In the next couple of weeks I'll be publishing the last confessions I have. Going forward, I will be asking active SVM Fanfic readers if they would like to confess, instead of taking volunteers. I'm looking for folks who don't mind promoting others. And also would like to help produce more collaboration posts in the new year.
