The Daily Fanfiction Updates is a newsletter for SVM fans on information about what is happening in the SVM and True Blood Fanfiction World. Here you will find news and tidbits, contests and challenges information, and recent fanfiction highlights. These updates posts are all inclusive and not only focused on Fanfiction.net. - Happy Holidays: I hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season and the end of the year is being kind to one and all. And a very Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating this week.
- New Avi for @SVMFanfic: The new twitter avi for the twitter account for fanfic alerts was created by me. I thought it would be cute if Bill and Eric would go ice skating with Charlie Brown and Linus. (Note: I created this pic of Bill and Eric for Suki59's banner for the First Blood Contest.
- Contest Deadline Approaching: Know anyone out there itching to write their first SVM story? Well direct them to the A New Chapter Contest. The last day for submissions is this Sunday so there's still time left to enter.

News: Newbie writer contest. Seven entries. Submission deadline December 12th. Go to TheSookieverse.com for official news and if you are know of newbies thinking of writing, encourage them to enter. It's fun!
- Valentine's Fae Contest: Click here for details
News: Write a fairy tale story with Eric and Sookie. Submission period is December 6th to January 21, 2011.

Challenges
- Weekly One-Shot (Deadline: December 12)
Challenge: Hosted by the lovely Suki59, this week's challenge theme is "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. --Winston Churchill" After you have completed your story, don't forget to post it in the, Weekly One-Shot thread in the Sookieverse Forum.
- Two Wrongs Make a Right (No Deadline)
Challenge: Have you ever though about writing a different pairing other than Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric? Have fun with the other characters in the Sookieverse.
