Blogger note:  Have you met Steph or her stories yet? Steph is one of my quiet addicts but she's definitely there .. on fanfiction.net and on Twitter. Little known fact about Steph .. she has a Happy Days fic! It features Joanie, Chachi, and Fonzie! Aaaaaaaaay! In SVM, most of Steph stories are contest entries -- Cowboy Up!, Age of Eric, and I Write the Songs. And there's also a Weekly One Shot challenge entry. Her multi-chapter story, Do Something That Scares You Everyday, finds Sookie working at an international boarding school and rooming with Eric.  I'm looking forward to finding out about Steph's fanfiction addiction so let me introduce you to beatlechicksteph ...

Hi my name is beatlechicksteph and I'm a SVM addict ...

What was the first fanfiction story you read?

I honestly can't remember the first fanfiction story I read.  I've been a fan of fan fiction since high school, so when I finished reading all 8 SVM books in a month, I immediately went to FF.net and started going through and reading everything I could find.  The first SVM fanfic I put on alert, though was EricDreamer's Dead and Dating.

What are typical characteristics of the stories you like to read?

I read pretty much anything that gets posted in the fandom.  I prefer Eric/Sookie stories, but I have been known to read other pairings as well, especially Alcide/Sookie.  I have been leaning towards AU/AH stories lately.  It's a lot of fun to read the different situations and different roles that authors put Eric and Sookie in.  The possibilities are endless, and that's what makes them enjoyable to me.

April Showers by kittensandcombatboots

I like this fic because I love how realistic the characters feel.  Her Sookie and Eric are very down to earth and their relationship is progressing very realistically.  I also love the fact that she made Pam into the 7 year old daughter<< of Eric without losing the snarky personality that we all love.  Her chapters aren't super long, but she updates almost daily.  I find myself re-reading her chapters and doing a happy dance when I notice there's an update in my inbox.  I feel that her writing is superb.  No grammatical errors and great characterizations.  This is her first SVM fanfic and I feel she has done a great job.  She has sucked me in, and I find myself waiting in anticipation about what her Pam will do next :)

The SVM Addicts are a group of SVM fans who bravely confessed their fanfiction addiction to this blog to help tell a story about the great fanfiction we have in SVM World.  You can find most of the addicts (about 22 of them) confessions posted here. Going forward, I will be asking active SVM Fanfic readers if they would like to confess, instead of taking volunteers. I'm looking for folks who don't mind promoting others. And also would like to help produce more collaboration posts in the new year.
