"It's a pure LEMONFEST!! It will keep you warm all winter long." -- Fairyblood
"A lot of stories like to include angst. This angst is often because of either Sookie or Eric (or both) being dumb, or misunderstanding something, then assuming their way into a big ol' melodramatic angst-fest. It's hardly ever plausible or really something we can relate to. I Hope You Dance is so, so different, and very real.
Eric and Sookie have been best friends since they were eight years old. When they're 16 they realize that their feelings have evolved past friendship, and they become a couple. When they're 17, a condom breaks. This results in a teen pregnancy, and forces Eric and Sookie to make some very tough decisions.
What makes this story awesome is that Eric and Sookie are in this together. Coming from broken homes and situations that caused them to grow up faster makes them a lot more mature, and they truly consider all their options before settling on adoption. Even after making this decision, they still struggle with it. They wonder if they can really give away their child. They worry about who they'll pick to raise the baby. They deal with scrutiny from the people in their town, and their own family and friends.
But through it all, they stand strong as a couple. They're in this together, and the love, trust, and respect they have for one another really comes through. It's a story that needs more readers. This is real drama, and it deserves some attention." -- scribeninja
"This is the virgin winner from I Write the Songs contest. It was also the very first entry. I really enjoyed this and all the other offerings from this new writer. This story is canon, set after Dead in the Family. Eric and Sookie contemplate their relationship during a sweet time together.

"This one is for the angst lover in you. So there's been this trend recently for those who are looking for ""not the usual romance"" story for Sookie and Eric. If you are one of those then you should to check this one out.
In this story, Eric and Bill are brothers. Yes ... brothers! Eric is married to Pam, his college sweetheart. Bill is married to Sookie, his high school sweetheart. Yes ... married! Sibling rivalry is just nature to these two boys and now they both are in an unhappy marriage.
This story only has 2 chapters, and when the second chapter popped up in my inbox, to say I did a happy dance is an understatement. Yes ... happy dance! If you say you like angst, and you like a good Danielle Steele/Jackie Collins book mixed with a bit of Lifetime television, minus the dripping diamonds; then you should see what this story is like. Oh ***Spoiler Alert*** ... It has a OOC Pam that we are not used to seeing." -- Sapfirerose
"This was my hosts pick for I Write the Songs. It is canon Eric and Sookie set right after Dead in the Family. Eric makes good on his promise for Tuesday night. It is a nice one-shot look at their relationship and how they are carving out a place for each other. It is sweet and sexy and fun. We all need that break and to say ""Stay away fools, cuz love rules!

"This is a canon story AU, a companion piece to Bored to Death. Ericizmine is funny and smart and tells a great story. I drop everything to read her posts. Since she tells it so much better than me, In her own words: "" What happened when BTD Eric & Sookie returned to their time and place? How did the encounter change them, their views, their trajectory?
In the SVM timeline, the beginning of this would pick up a few days after Sookie returns home after her climactic confrontation with Rene in Dead Until Dark.
**I recommend reading Bored To Death before starting with this story." -- Northwoman
Not just one story .. but 12 in total! All the stories are all human and they are all written by new writers. This contest in is in the voting period now so I'm just going to recommend that you check out all the stories. I'm halfway through and I'm have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised by every writer I've read so far. Don't let the nature of the contest (... to write a story about a couple having a baby.) fool you. From the exciting romance to the heart-twisting angst, this new batch of writers are out to entertain you. So please check them out and send a little review love their way. For new writers, reviews equal encouragement. -- Sapfirerose
SVM612's first fanfiction story has a bit of humor to it that is uniquely refreshing. It's in the supernatural/romance category ... but with the 'Psycho Fairy' out to reek havoc in Area 5, you can't help but laugh. In this story, Sookie (and Jason) were raised by the fairies after their parents died. The result in this alternate universe, is that Niall has raised one badass half fairy assassin. And now Eric has to deal with her while she's in the human realm investigating the murder of her cousin. The story is a work-in-progress with only 10 chapters so far. What I really like about the story is that it brings back some of the elements of humor and imagination that you would see in the early vampire/canon stories from writers such as misscyn and ataventure. -- Sapfirerose
"Remember when Eric and Sookie used to have fun together? There interactions were full of banter and innuendo? They laughed? That was about the time of Club Dead, right?
Miral takes us back to that time. This story takes place 'when Bill was seeking nirvana at Macchu Picchu in Peru (nobody told him that nirvana was more of an Easter concept and that a popular theory contends the pre-Columbian structure was a prison). Eric and Sookie team up to solve a mystery, just like in the good old days.'
Although this is just getting started (currently 4 published chapters) it is a must read for any book purists. Miral has captured Eric and Sookie so completely. Sookie's narration is spot on in character, and the dialogue is perfection. " -- moxiemo (@moxiemollymo)
